There are many different colors and styles to choose from and vinyl plank flooring is great for rooms in any part of the house, even 3 season rooms. The lifetime residential warranty lets the customer know that this product is meant for high traffic areas and can withstand an active family lifestyle.

Our most popular product is water proof core luxury vinyl tile. It is offered in 7” wide by 48” long planks and each plank has the rubber padding already attached to help with sound and insulation. Choosing a Finish for Your Hardwood Floor

Stains
Hardwood flooring can be stained to match almost any color which can give the look of an exotic wood without the expense of replacing the wood.

Oil-based Polyurethane
Most hardwood flooring is finished with oil-based polyurethane. Oil-based is the choice for most homeowners because it has proven durability, brings out the rich color of the grains in hardwood flooring and has the shine that many people want.

Water-based Polyurethane
Water-based polyurethane is becoming a very popular product and provides more of a matte finish than oil-based polyurethane, but water-based does not become golden over time. Water-based polyurethane dries in only a few hours and does not release an odor while drying.

Tung Oil
Tung oil is a finish that is applied just like water-based or oil-based polyurethane, but unlike these finishes, Tung oil will need to be reapplied about once every year. If scratches occur in the Tung oil finish, they can be quickly rubbed away by applying a coat of oil to the damaged area. This cannot be done with polyurethane.

Tips for Maintaining Your Hardwood Floors

Caring for your new hardwood floor is simple. Here are our recommendations to help you to maintain your wood floor.

  • Don't use oil soap. There are many commercial oil-based soaps or wax-based cleaning products that may damage or dull the finish of your hardwood floor.
  • Use chair glides. Narrow wheels, sharp wooden or metal furniture legs can scratch and dent hardwood floors
  • Simple sweeping or Swiffering on a regular basis is best for your floors. Small stones, mud and gritty dirt tracked in from outdoors can scratch the finish of your hardwood floors. Use a soft-bristled brush when vacuuming.
  • Wipe spills immediately. When accidents happen and some liquid spills on your hardwood floors, wipe immediately with a slightly damp white cloth or paper towel.
